Russian President Vladimir Putin has advocated for a more stable multipolar world order, attributing the current global security crisis to bloc confrontations and the pursuit of unilateral security advantages by certain countries. His remarks came during the 23rd annual meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club, where he emphasized the need for compromise and negotiations to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, rather than seeking the defeat of either side. Putin also expressed a desire for Ukraine to maintain a neutral stance following the end of hostilities.
During his speech, Putin argued that the previously dominant unipolar international system is transitioning to a multipolar order. He called for enhanced cooperation among countries based on mutual interests, indicating Russia’s willingness to collaborate with other nations to establish a framework for a more stable global system.
In a separate development, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the first combat deployment of Ukraine’s domestically developed FP-7 tactical ballistic missile. While he did not specify the target or location of the missile’s use, Zelenskyy mentioned that Ukraine plans to proceed with its production.
